Singapore- DSTA gets a
New CEO (11 Sep 2002)
Singapore's Defence Science & Technology Agency (DSTA),
will get a new head later this year. Rear Admiral Richard
Lim Cherng Yih, RSNs former chief from Jul 1996 to Jun 1999
and currently MINDEF's Deputy Secretary (Technology) will
take over DSTA's helm on 01 Dec 2002. Admiral Lim was a Colombo
Plan scholar.
DSTA is 2800 strong organization providing defence technology
support to MINDEF and the Singapore Armed forces.
RADM Richard Lim will replace Taipei born Professor Su Guaning,
who was a President and Colombo plan scholar who has led DSTA
since its formation in April 2000. Professor Su is also an
adjunct professor at the National University of Singapore
(NUS)
